Garden Design

Curating the landscape

Katherine Throne Studio brings creativity, horticultural knowledge, and an artist's eye to every design

The design process begins with a phone call. From here we will visit your site and talk through your project to determine the best path. You may want a site specific bespoke planting plan, or full project design and guidance.

Naturalistic Beauty

Painterly swathes of planting that combine colour texture and varied form

Considered Planting

Thorough botanical knowledge with a speciality in drought tolerant perennials and natives

Atmospheric Spaces

Creative ideas that result in distinctive and deeply personal spaces

The Garden Design Process

Thoughtful, Timeless, Site-specific

Great design is personal

An initial consultation will establish how you live, your goals and aesthetic preferences. It’s a chance to explore ideas and talk through potential visions.

Once the brief and budget are established, Katherine will recommend a design solution that suits.

For smaller projects like an area refresh, advice and planning are charged per hour and tailored to your project. For larger projects, a concept package including plans, renderings and full plant and material specifications is advised. Katherine works with trusted hardscaping and install experts to bring the final design together.
